Branson Pethel has practiced law in his hometown of Salisbury since 1987. His practice emphasizes the areas of Wills, Power of Attorneys, Real Estate Closings, Elder Law, and Medicaid Planning.
Branson is a lifelong resident of Rowan County. He attended Granite Quarry Elementary School, Erwin Junior High School, and East Rowan Senior High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Catawba College and his Juris Doctor Degree from Wake Forest University. After his graduation from Wake Forest University, he was licensed on Sept. 11, 1987, at the age of 23. After a short stint in a local firm, he opened his own firm and began practicing as a solo practitioner where he remained until 2001, when he joined his current firm of Shelby, Pethel & Hudson, PA.
With strong ties to the people and community of Rowan County, Branson has served on several charitable organizations as a board member. He is a member of the Andrew Jackson Masonic Lodge #576. As a lifelong member of Christiana Lutheran Church, he has served as a Sunday School teacher, the Sunday School Superintendent, Church Councilman, and as a Member and Past Chair of the Benevolent Foundation and Scholarship Committee.
He is married to Carmen Wagoner Pethel of Rockwell and has one adult daughter, Drew Adams Pethel.
