Each partner is a proud graduate of local Rowan County high schools. The law firm has practiced for more than 20 years at their 122 N. Lee St. offices.

Dawn Ingram

Meet Dawn
Dawn Ingram has been with the firm since 2007 and is an established paralegal, graduating from Kings College, Charlotte, NC, with an Associate Degree in Paralegal. She is a native of Rowan County and is well known and involved with the community. She assists attorney Greg Jones with criminal cases, traffic cases, personal injury cases, and NC DMV hearing cases.
She is paralegal certified with the North Carolina Bar Association, a North Carolina Notary Public and Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant.
She is much at home in the office and within the public. Dawn’s ability to communicate solutions for challenges clients face today has been sharpened by a diverse portfolio for unique experiences.
She has participated in the Driver’s License Restoration Project with the Pro Bono Resource Center, which partnered with the North Carolina Justice Center to help the North Carolina community living at or below the Federal Poverty Level remit/cancel unpaid court costs to have their driver’s license restored. She is a volunteer with Communities In Schools (CIS).

Robin Carson has been with the firm since 2008 and is a paralegal for attorney Kathryn Setzer. She assists with personal injury cases.
She previously worked at H & H Representatives, Charlotte, NC, in sales/administration and Dixon Odom/Dixon Hughes in Salisbury, NC, in administration.
She received her B.A. degree in English from Pfeiffer College, Misenheimer, NC.

Theresa Freeze

Meet Theresa
Theresa Freeze joined the firm in 2001 at its inception. She has worked as a paralegal since 1992. Her work focuses on workers compensation and Social Security Disability matters. She also has a strong background in civil litigation. Theresa has been a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal since 2006.
She earned an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science, Paralegal Technology, from Davidson County Community College, in 1992.
She is a member of the National Association for Legal Support Professionals, the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Academy of Justice, and the North Carolina Paralegal Association. She is a Notary Public for the State of North Carolina.

Mitzi Hall has been with the firm since 2020 and is a paralegal for attorney John T. Hudson. She assists with estate matters, wills, special proceedings, and trust. She has been working as a paralegal in Salisbury for more than 28 years.
She received her paralegal degree from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and is a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal. She is a lifelong resident of Rowan County, and is a foster parent for Carolina Bassett Hound Rescue, and currently lives with her 3 rescues. She has one adult child.

Deborah Rinehart

Meet Deborah
Deborah Thompson Rinehart has been with the firm since 2001 and is a legal assistant for John T. Hudson and Branson A. Pethel. She reconciles trust accounts, assists with ordering title binders, commitments and payoffs, processes research, produces digital copies of files and documents for company records, and assists as a reserve receptionist. She had a career in banking before joining the firm.
Ms. Rinehart is a graduate of Catawba College and is the widow of the late Kenneth D. Rinehart. She has two children and four stepchildren. She is an active member in Union Lutheran Church, a member of the Chancel Choir, the handbell group, “Belles and Beaus,” and a member of the church council.

Meet Laura
Laura Wetmore Braun has been a N.C. Bar Certified Paralegal since 2007. She joined Shelby, Pethel, and Hudson in 2019 and is a real estate paralegal for Branson Pethel. Laura is a graduate of North Rowan High School and attended Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and Pasco-Hernando Community College before receiving her paralegal degree from Kaplan College.
She loves meeting and interacting with clients and enjoys even the most demanding aspects of her job as she feels a challenge is always an opportunity to learn. Laura is a N.C. Notary Public and is a member of Mount Tabor United Methodist Church where she currently serves as the Finance Secretary.
A cat lover, Laura enjoys reading, playing the piano, and traveling (especially cruising). She is married with two daughters and lives in Salisbury.

Meet Gretchen
Gretchen Reside is Courier/Legal Assistant and has been with Shelby, Pethel, and Hudson, P.A., since December 2007. She received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Technology from Davidson-Davie Community College in 2009. She is a North Carolina Notary Public.
She supports the attorneys, legal assistants, and paralegals, as needed. One of her jobs is accurate and punctual deliveries of documents, some with strict time constraints. She also researches files and documents at the Rowan County Courthouse and Register of Deeds.
Gretchen enjoys being with family and friends, traveling, the North Carolina coast, gardening, and riding her motorcycle. She is also an animal advocate and especially loves dogs and cats.

Dena Misenheimer has been with the firm since 2019 and serves as receptionist/legal assistant for the office. She is responsible for handling the front desk, greeting clients, answering telephones, transferring calls and/or taking messages, and other administrative support functions. Dena has over 18 years’ experience in clerical and customer service within the legal field. She is also a N.C. Notary Public.
Dena is a graduate of East Rowan High School and Salisbury Business College. She is married and has two children. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and vacationing at the beach.
